Winner of Hell Chess International 2019 – Bence Korpa with 8 out of 10 points!
Finally, there was no doubt who was the tournament’s strongest player, Bence Korpa of Hungary won by a point margin!
Sergey Volkov from Russia finished with 3 straight wins and secured second place. Best Norwegian player was Johan-Sebastian Christiansen in 3rd place with the best quality of a total of 6 players with the same score. Nevertheless, the highlight of the tournament was the IM norm of Mads Vestby-Ellingsen. Here you will find all the results. The top games from the final round will soon be added to the tournament pgn-file.
In Group B, Carl Christian Aarnes won with 8 points and better quality than Jan Thomas Nordgreen who got the same number of points. Bjørn Noralf Dybvik came in 3rd place with 7 points.
Jan Thomas Nordgreen and Bjørn Robert Løvoll Unhjem were the players who brought home the most rating points from the tournament.
